Haiku Circus

Greetings,

I am Ken’s brother, Mike Sakamoto.  I wanted to say thank you to all the Haiku Circus fans out there for the continuing support you’ve given Ken and Haiku Circus over the last 6 months even though it has been on hiatus. To squash rumors, Ken IS NOT DEAD as some websites had reported. Another good one was he was no living in a bubble because of a auto immune problem, still not the case.

Like all good things, Ken thought the website was coming to an end. As much as he didn’t want it to, real life decided to take away his time he could dedicate to the strip. One day over some warm saki we talked about what we should do… one idea was to sell the comic out right. We had many offers of 10’s of dollars, but Google didn’t come breaking down the door.

The other option we chose to go with was to let another writer take it over, unfortunately things didn’t work out and we started back at square one. Needless to say this was frustrating for both of us. Ken’s dream was sitting collecting dust, and I at the time was to busy in my own life to help out.

After 6 months both of our lives have calmed down, while Ken’s maybe still more hectic than mine,  we decided to give Haiku Circus another run. Right now we have 20 strips in production that will see publication every Monday starting February 23, 2009.

Soon we will be giving away stickers, buttons, & other random goodies so it’s worth it to get involved in the community. Speaking of giveaways… for everyone being good sports while we were away, we spent some time making everyone some desktop wallpapers – cause we know you’re getting tired of looking at the same old things so you have your choice of two:
